Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a fireworks show cost? Can you provide a quote?
There are several factors that go into the cost of a fireworks show and prices can vary greatly depending on those factors. Thus, to provide an accurate quote, we need to get a better understanding of our customer’s needs, the location where the show will take place, the complexity of the setup that will be required, etc. If you would like a quote for your show, contact us and we will discuss these important details and explore options.
How soon before my event should I inquire about your services?
It is always best to plan as far in advance as possible, no matter the date of your event. This gives us time to plan your show and obtain all the necessary permits. However, for shows on or around July 4, early booking is crucial.
My event is just around the corner, can you still provide fireworks?
While it is always better to book your show in advance, we can sometimes book quick turnaround shows, depending on the circumstances. Each case is different, so it best to contact us to discuss your event in more detail.
Do you provide music choreography for your shows?
Yes, we can provide music choreography for most shows, generally at no extra charge. However, we do not provide sound systems or audio personnel. Customers should hire a reputable DJ or audio team for those services. We will work with the audio team to sync up the audio and fireworks.
Can you perform a fireworks show if it rains?
Yes, we can perform a fireworks show in most weather conditions, including rain. The exception would be severe weather, although we can typically work around most thunderstorms. Other potential hazards are flooding or conditions that pose a dangerously high fire risk. We look at these situations on a case-by-case basis.
Can you perform a display in a location where fireworks are illegal?
Generally, this refers to consumer use of fireworks, not professionally produced fireworks displays. Because our shows are permitted, we always obtain written approval from local authorities and can, in most cases, legally provide fireworks displays in areas where consumer fireworks are not allowed.
The venue where my event is taking place will not allow fireworks, what can I do?
First, if fireworks are important to your event, we recommend that you check with your venue before contracting with them. There are plenty of venues that allow fireworks, especially if you’re bringing in an insured and licensed company. If you’ve already contracted with a venue that will not allow fireworks, we are always happy to work with you and go to bat on your behalf. While we cannot guarantee that a venue owner will come around, we will gladly address any questions, concerns, or misunderstandings.
Are fireworks safe?
While there are obvious inherent risks associated with fireworks, when used properly, fireworks are generally safe. At Impact Pyro, every aspect of every show we do is carried out with safety at the forefront. This starts with our state approved continuing education safety training, which is mandatory for all licensed techs, and then continues through the design, setup, and execution of our shows.
Do you sell fireworks to the public?
No, we do not sell fireworks to the public. We are a licensed exhibitor, not a retailer or wholesaler.
I have my own fireworks; can you use them for my show?
Generally, to best ensure the quality and safety of our shows, we do not use fireworks provided by other sources.
Do you provide sky lantern shows?
While sky lanterns are beautiful and even majestic, they are also a huge safety and liability risk. A typical fireworks show takes place in a controlled area. Sky lanterns, on the other hand, are at the mercy of the weather conditions, sending uncontrolled flames in whatever direction the wind determines. They have been known to crash into buildings, homes, and other obstacles, and they can travel several miles away before coming down. For these reasons, we do not perform sky lantern shows.
